Smartphones Android More Popular Than iOS in the US

You would think that iOS is more popular than Android in the United States (US), but in fact not the case. Android continues to dominate the operating system (OS) mobile in the land of Uncle Sam.

The latest report from Nielsen in the third quarter of 2015 showed that 52.6 percent of smartphones in the US running the Android OS, while the device is running iOS approximately 42.7 percent.

Google's operating system is in fact not just popular in the US, but also around the world. Unlike iOS, Android devices made by a number of smartphone vendors, such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, Lenovo, Asus, and others, including low-end smartphone while the latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC) showed that Android had 82.8 percent the worldwide market share, while iOS is only 13.9 percent.

Nielsen research also is not much different from that year show that Apple's market share began to decline. But last week, Nielsen reported that iPhone sales grew stronger in recent years
